List of Gold Coast COVID alert locations & restrictions

The Gold Coast locations announced on a list of contact tracing alerts from the Queensland Government, venues will be separated into three categories and contain advice for those individuals based on the category of the venue.

Close Contact Venues

If you have been to this location in Queensland at the relevant times you must do the following:

  1. immediately travel by private transport directly to your home or accommodation and quarantine
  2. get tested at your earliest opportunity
  3. complete the online contact tracing form by heading to QLD Government site at bottom of page and click on the name for the relevant location in the table below. A pop up window will appear with specific advice for that location and a link to the form.
    If you are unable to complete the contact tracing form please call 134 COVID (134 268).
  4. continue to quarantine even after receiving a negative result. After you complete the contact tracing form you will be contacted by Queensland Health.

If you are no longer in Queensland please check with the relevant state health department for health advice and requirements.

Casual Contact Venues

If you have been to any of the below locations at the relevant times you must do the following:

  1. immediately travel by private transport directly to your home or accommodation and quarantine
  2. get tested at your earliest opportunity
  3. continue to quarantine until you receive a negative result
  4. enter your details into the contact tracing form  by heading to QLD Government site at bottom of page and clicking on the name for the relevant location in the table below. You will not be contacted by Queensland Health unless additional information about the exposure changes the risk level
  5. continue to monitor for symptoms, if you become symptomatic get tested and isolate until you receive a negative result.

Low Risk Contact Venues

If you have been to any of the below locations at the relevant times you must do the following:

  1. get tested but you do not need to isolate unless you have symptoms
  2. if you are experiencing symptoms, quarantine at home until you receive a negative result
  3. continue to monitor for symptoms, if you become symptomatic get tested and isolate until you receive a negative result.

Masks wearing to continue until July 30 and a Hard Border has now returned with NSW

The government has announced that instead of moving to another lockdown mask-wearing will be extended for another week in the below Local Government Areas and a hard border closure is now enforced with delay expected.

New South Wales border zone residents can only cross the border for a permitted New South Wales border zone residents can only cross the border for a permitted purpose. Likewise, Queensland residents can only enter the New South Wales border zone for a permitted purpose the decision on the border will be reviewed in four weeks.

We’re asking people to use their common sense – you can cross the border from a border zone community for an essential activity, work, education or organised children’s sport.

City of Brisbane, Moreton Bay Regional Council, City of Gold Coast, City of Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Logan City, Noosa Shire, Redland City, Scenic Rim Regional Council, Sunshine Coast Council.

Mask Requirements remain in place until 6:00 am on Friday 30 July
You must carry a face mask at all times when you leave home, unless you have a lawful reason not to. You must wear your mask in indoor spaces such as Shopping Centres and Supermarkets, Hospitals Aged Care, Indoor Workplaces (Where safe to and when you can’t socially distance), Public Transport including Taxis and Rideshare or cues, Airports and Travelling on Planes.
