Splendour In The Grass - Client Liason

Splendour in the Grass, your annual hit of music and it's lineup is here!

Splendour in the Grass, your annual hit of music and arts alchemy is back at North Byron Parklands from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 July with over 100 of the most exciting international and home grown artists touring right now set to grace The Amphitheatre, Mix Up, GW McLennan and Tiny Dancer stages. A.M. to the P.M | P.M. to the A.M. From the biggest and most innovative stars of hip hop and global names of indie rock, pop and dance to Australia’s most exciting established and emerging artists, Splendour’s team of 2018 is bringing one helluva bag of bangers and anthems for a generation to Byron this July. Much more than your favourite winter playlist, choose your own adventure and tick some of these much loved festival hot spots off your Splendour bucket list… Are you all about electric feels? Sashay your way to THE TIPI FOREST, Splendour’s bass-camp for all things electro, techno and everything in-between. Raise your dancefloor vibrations to the Rainbow Regions raddest record spinners and beat droppers, as technicolour lightscapes ignite the tipis around you. Expect transient art, playful performances and interactive dance to top off your forest foray. Lost yourself in the music? Find yourself in THE GLOBAL VILLAGE!  Salute the sun in a yoga class, treat yourself to a tarot card reading or massage, sip on a steaming cup of chai or discover Dreamtime. When you’re ready to face the music, discover diverse and eclectic genres from Splendour’s musical melting pot, THE WORLD STAGE. No need to take a ride on a big jet plane, this is your passport to experiencing incredible artists from all corners of the world and the musical spectrum. Don’t you think that it’s boring how people talk? Not at the SPLENDOUR FORUM! F*ck the Facebook algorithm and hear the real deal from some of the greatest forward thinkers, modern day gurus, prominent protagonists and straight up sassy story tellers of today. They’ll be tackling important topics from 10am each day. Up for shits and giggles? THE COMEDY CLUB is back with stacks of the countries funniest people doing, well, funny shit each evening in The Forum tent. Never trust an atom… they make up everything. You can however trust what you hear in THE SCIENCE TENT. After an explosive debut in 2017, get ready to channel your inner Attenborough or Elon Musk as The Science Tent prepares for a second round of slimy, stretchy and mind melting experiments. Calling all knit wits! Renowned for stitching up the coolest shiz in the crafty biz, SPLENDOUR IN THE CRAFT returns with hot glue guns, pipe-cleaners and bedazzlers blazing and a bunch of Australia’s most crafty mofos in tow! Prepare to get sticky with a bunch of Australia’s premier craft freedom fighters! Remember that spooky as all hell Funeral Parlour in the barn last year? Or Sam Songailo’s beautiful illuminated Gateway to the Amphitheatre hill? Or Mr Poopie a few years back? SPLENDOUR ARTS returns in 2018 with performance, installation, large scale sculpture and more brought to you by a top shelf crew of artists from Australia and abroad. Onesies? For Splendour? Groundbreaking. You can do better than that and you’ll find all the best festival #farshun and much more amongst Splendour’s many MARKET stalls. The VERY SMALL SUBURB is back too, with all the food, fashion and beauty you’ll need to live your best festival life! Yas kween! Are ankle biters cramping your style? Think your festival glory days are behind you? Don’t pack your bumbag and poncho away just yet! LITTLE SPLENDOUR is back to help top up your street cred and restore your sanity. A pintsized paradise, keep the whole tribe happy with the huge sandpit, music garden, storytelling, jumping castle and arts and craft zone. The Big Kids Zone will pump with sports and games, face painting, giant board games and more. Parents with bubs can change and rest up in our Tipi or grab a caffeine fix from the nearby barista. And when it’s time to count sheep, take respite in The Meadow, our dedicated family friendly campground. So if you’re lonely (and hangry), you know I’m here waiting for you… by the food trucks! Grab some post-mosh nosh from one of three food halls dotted around the site, or The Truck Stop, where punters can rest up and enjoy a delectable array of street-style eats designed to satisfy any craving. Thirsty? Get poppin’ bottles at THE CHAMPAGNE BAR or at THE WINERY, or check out the CARLTON DRY BAR and the always pumping SMIRNOFF COCKTAIL BAR with a different party each night! When it’s time to recharge the battery, camping on site is the way to go for the full Splendour experience and we have a variety of options available. The camping area closest to the event site is vehicle free but you can camp with your wheels in other areas. For the time being you only need to purchase your event and camping ticket. You’ll be able to choose where you want to park your rig when vehicle passes go on sale. Onsite camping is available for up to 5 nights – with early entry into the campgrounds available from Wednesday 18 July – so bunk in for an easy and affordable way to experience Splendour. Travelling from afar and not keen to lug your camping kit? Pack light and book yourself into Tepee Love, Flash Camp, Tent City or Byron Bay Camping Hire. Bringing the kids? The Meadow, our family friendly campground is the place for you! If you’re being dropped off at the festival each day, please be sure to use the drop off points inside the venue only. Tweed Valley Way and the Pacific Highway are ‘no-go’ zones, please be safe and stay off busy roads. This year, Splendour is thrilled to be working collaboratively with local entities Enova and Corem on a number of targeted renewable energy projects to offset patron and event carbon emissions during the event. For just $3 on top of the price of your Splendour ticket, you can offset your travel carbon emissions and feel like a winner. Carbon Offset Ticket sales will be invested into Australian renewable energy projects.  Pump fists, not gases!

Okay! Your Splendour team of 2018 is….
